"I thought it appropriate to email you to say good things, as most people only write when they are really ticked off! I purchased two garage door openers about 17 years ago and paid more than the average door opener because I was told that they are "the best on the market" or "industrial units for home use". This information is only for background, the real reason I am writing is to say thank you for your customer service!
One of the openers recently burnt off the drive belt, when I changed the belt and tested the opener, I found that the unit would not stop when closing, but continued to run burning the belt on the motor pulley. Having the cowling off to change the belt, I looked around the unit trying to find what would cause this. After realizing that I had no idea as to what I was looking for, I decided to see if I could find a website for the manufacturer. I found the site, then contacted your Head Office in Metcalfe, Ontario using the 1-800 toll-free number. I was connected with "Gord" (a service guy I would imagine), and after explaining my problem to Gord, he very clearly explained to me what had gone wrong and how to fix it, which I did in about 10 minutes.
This is the reason I am writing, to say THANK YOU. It's difficult to find anyone these days who will give you the time of day unless there is a sale to be had. I boast about my garage door opener frequently and now I can throw in the company as well as the product. Thanks again!"
